Kinsey & Co Solicitors is a specialist family law practice. In fact, family work is all we do. We know what we are talking about and give realistic and clear advice to clients based on considerable experience and expertise.
We pride ourselves on providing clients with up to date legal advice on family law matters. All our clients receive advice from Juliette Kinsey, the principal in the practice. Juliette is an accredited specialist member of Resolution, an accredited family mediator and a fully trained collaborative family lawyer with over twenty years’ experience in family law.
Lexcel Accredited Practice
Kinsey & Co has for the past 12 years achieved and maintained the Lexcel Accredited Practice Standard Mark. This means that we have been recognised by the Law Society as an efficient and professional practice that consistently provides clients with a high level of client care service. In 2008 the Practice was one of only seven practices shortlisted throughout England and Wales at the Law Society Excellence Awards in the category of Excellence in Practice Management and Client Care Service. In 2016 the Practice once again made a Law Society award shortlist in the category of Excellence in Client Service.
Much of our work comes to us as a result of recommendation from previous clients. It is therefore important to us that each client finds our client care service professional, approachable and reliable. Our Lexcel Award proves that we are able to provide a high level of client care service consistently.
Out of Hours Appointments
Many clients who work full-time can find it hard to see a solicitor during office hours. We therefore offer clients appointments out of hours to accommodate working commitments. We also represent clients from further afield and therefore often accommodate time differences. The practice has represented clients from as far afield as Beijing and Singapore and is able to provide long distance clients appointments using Skype and webcam at a time convenient for them.
Clear Information on Fees
We understand that for many clients legal fees can be a daunting prospect. We therefore endeavour to provide a clear explanation of our fees and how they are calculated. At the outset of a case all clients receive detailed information regarding their likely fees and throughout the case every invoice issued comes with a clear breakdown of what work has been undertaken and how that work has been charged.
At six monthly intervals throughout their case all clients receive (free of charge) an update on their case and their fees to date plus an estimate as to their likely future costs. Kinsey & Co believes that an open approach in respect of fees helps remove some of the anxiety felt by some clients and provides transparency.
“Out of Hours” Family Law Advice
Juliette Kinsey recognises that family law issues do not simply arise during office hours. Clients may wish to seek legal advice about an emergency situation that has developed over the weekend or in the evening. Juliette therefore offers all her clients an “Out of Hours” legal advice service that enables them to contact her outside of normal office hours and seek emergency legal advice. This service helps clients feel supported throughout their difficult times.
Collaborative Law Services
Juliette Kinsey is proud to have been the first trained Collaborative Lawyer in the Bradford area and the first to offer Collaborative law services to her clients. The Collaborative law approach enables couples to resolve the issues which arise from their relationship breakdown in a respectful and dignified manner. Couples are able to sit around a table and discuss the issues that concern them following the breakdown of the their relationship without the need for court intervention or unnecessarily acrimonious correspondence. Juliette Kinsey is a fully qualified Collaborative Lawyer who believes that the benefits to separating couples, and their families, of adopting the Collaborative approach are priceless. Access to Additional Family Services and Professionals
Juliette Kinsey recognises that there is more to the breakdown of a relationship than simply the “legal bit”. Whilst Juliette is able to provide legal advice and assistance ,she recognises the valuable work other professionals undertake with parties who are going through the trauma of family breakdown. Over the years Juliette has developed working relationships with other key professionals in the area of relationship breakdown, including relationship counsellors, life coaches and children’s services and she will gladly provide clients with details of services she feels they or their children would benefit from.
